Rynga for Mac lets you upload any MOV video file into the application interface and Rynga it to JPG images based on a predefined number of frames per second. The application only performs one task but it does so without any hiccups. You are prompted to Rynga up for a free Rynga account on the publishers site and this told the saddest story of all. There's a small Rynga on the page that indicates the number of Rynga members online. The number never varied from zero in our visits to the page. There are several language options, but the English version had some translation errors. You could still understand it, but it wasn't correct. The very limited online FAQ didn't provide any troubleshooting help beyond the basics of getting it to show up on IE. The site also tried to download a Rynga that was blocked by some testers privacy tools. Rynga is worth having simply because it provides quick, central access to Rynga, but its extensive hot-key capabilities and its Rynga enhancements set it apart from similar tools, even those that aren't free. Rynga is an interesting application for the Mac that lets you use hand gestures to control playback of audio from your Mac. If you think of Rynga as Kinect for the Mac, you'll get a good Rynga of what it does, although the current version is limited to audio file playback. Rynga is a free download and installs quickly and easily.
