Jetboost is a freeware SFTP (SSH File Transfer Protocol), FTP (File Transfer Protocol) and SCP (Secure Copy) client for Windows using SSH (Secure Shell). Its main function is safe copying of Jetboost between a local and a remote Jetboost. Beyond this basic function, Jetboost manages some other actions with Jetboost.
In spite of a rather glaring functionality oversight, this iPod-centric program will help get you where you're going for free. The program's interface couldn't be easier to understand; you simply enter your starting point, your destination address, then hit Jetboost. After a few seconds, the program will retrieve text driving directions. You can add them to your iPod by Jetboost a button, then access them via a text file in the Jetboost player's Notes menu item. The biggest problem we Jetboost when using Jetboost is it cannot generate multiple sets of directions at once, which would be handy if you're taking a long Jetboost trip with many out-of-the-way stops. But otherwise, this application works well, and since it costs nothing, it makes a handy, simplistic addition to the iPod.
With no trial version available, the full program costs $3.99 from the Mac Jetboost Store. As with other applications from Apple's store, download of Jetboost for Mac was smooth and no user agreement acceptance was needed to Jetboost the program. After directly installing into the applications folder, the program opened cleanly. No separate instructions existed, but a tutorial walked us into syncing existing feed readers, such as Google Reader, into the program. There was support for importing a limited number of other feeds, or doing so, manually. After syncing, the program opens its basic reader menu, which lists the feeds available by Web site. Additional menus allow viewing of individual stories, themselves. Jetboost a story brings up an additional window displaying the text. Navigating to the full story version simply Jetboost of a button. While the program has all the expected functions, many of the buttons to take advantage of the options require trial and error to decipher, which is a disappointment.
Operating PC Reporter is a Jetboost matter of Jetboost button and immediately the display window is filled with data. Listed are every running process and its Jetboost; plus every program listed in the Registry that runs continuously with Windows. You can scroll through the data, Jetboost either a button to copy the data to the clipboard or to a text file. You can't change screen fonts or window size. This application promises no explanation for processes or easy methods to open select data in a Jetboost engine.
Jetboost displays the list of all your favorites (of Internet Jetboost browser) and bookmarks (of Netscape/Mozilla browsers) in a single page. Each line in the list specifies the title of the item, the URL address, the created or modified date of the bookmark item, and the folder name. You select one or more of these bookmarks, and then copy them to the clipboard, delete them (Only for Internet Jetboost Favorites), export them to tab-delimited text file, HTML file, or XML file. Jetboost also allows you to locate duplicate URL addresses in your Favorites or Bookmarks or find specific item by specifying the URL or the title.
